Friday

Friday was my last day for my two Friday classes. I teach one at the downtown campus and one at the suburban campus. We will leaving for Tokoyo next Friday so I had to say goodbye to my Friday classes. Here are some pics of the students. The main campus class has about 25 students in it normally. They are studying to be nursery school teachers.
Friday night we all went out to a late dinner with Gavin, a high school English teacher who Emily works with. He is from New York and has been in Japan nearly 20 years. He was in the navy and then married a Japanese woman and they have two children. He took us to a buffet restaurant where there is a hibatchi grill in the middle of the table and you cook your own meats and veggies. It was good, and there was a lot of choice. It looked sort of like a Denny's type of place, with lots of booths. And, speaking of Denny's, there is one here but Gavin said it was nothing like what we are used to in Sparkle City and elsewhere across the USA. They did NOT serve breakfast, either! There are McDonald's here as well, and KFC. I think we should go into a McDonald's just to see the differences. And, of course, to check out the price of a Big Mac and campare it to the Big Mac Inflation Index.
hahahaha..... ever the economist!
